“Woman, Why are you weeping?”

Our Family Theme for this week deals with the Resurrection of Jesus.  One of the passages used this week is John 20.1-31.  In verse 15 Mary is at the tomb of Jesus and has discovered that Jesus was gone.  She was so upset about this.  Two angels asked her why she was weeping and she told them that they had taken the body of her Lord.  Then, another time she was asked, “Why are you weeping?”  She again replied that Jesus’ body had been taken.  What just happened the second time was that Jesus himself had asked Mary this question.  Mary was so upset that she didn’t even realize that Jesus had just asked her a question.

As I was reading this the thought occured to me, how many times does Christ speak to me and I don’t even take time to realize that He is speaking to me?  We are so often troubled with issues, unattentive to the Holy Spirit that we often miss the voice of Christ.

Take time within your busy life to make sure that when you hear the “Voice of Christ” that you actually stop and listen.  The great Teacher (Robboni) has something wonderful to say to you.  If you have not experienced the meaning of the Resurrection in your life I pray that you will allow Christ to make a difference in you life today.  If you are not living in the fullness of Christ take time just now to refocus your life on Him.
